In 2023 Parametric’s HR recruiting team began to attend in-person events and career fairs again after a three-year hiatus. The last time the team had attended any such events it was before the company had been acquired by Morgan Stanley, so they wanted to take the opportunity to create a fresh suite of booth materials and swag to reflect this new partnership and attract potential candidates.

My goal was to create an eye-catching table throw and popup banner that would stand out in a sea predominantly finance and technology companies. To help set Parametric apart from these mostly blue, green, and grey brands, I made the new banner and table throw Parametric’s bold, unique primary brand color “Berry”. In-office photography that I took of current employees interacting with one another were included on the banner to give job seekers a sneak peek of company culture.

I was able to draw on my past experience at a marketing merchandise agency to help the team select swag and prepare production files for the booth giveaways. Swag was chosen to be functional, cost-effective, and environmentally-friendly. The two items I helped create were a branded webcam cover and bookmark that doubles as a seed packet.

I was able to personally witness the success of these new materials when I accompanied Parametric’s HR recruiting team to the Gonzaga Trek, a career fair in January of 2024, for Gonzaga undergraduates preparing to enter the workforce.
